Construction Site

Back to Work

After 60 days of Vacation

Morning Rush 06

Why is La Salle and Ateneo bitter enemies?
It was just a thought cause i've been researching why is La Salle and Ateneo bitter enemies... As from what I've known so far, it started in the NCAA basketball tournament back in i don't know what year.... sa inyo, bakit nga ba? Just a thought... This topic is close to the heart of Atenista & LaSalista. Isa akong Ateneo Blue Eagle Fan and as a regular blogger engineer, I have to suspend all bias and try to judge this post as objectively as possible, to ensure I don’t favor Ateneo, even unwittingly. Pero mahirap magtagumpay sa layunin kong ito, but I do appreciate a good laugh:
Top Funny Reasons Why Ateneo or La Salle Is Better?
01. Ateneo, kasi religious. Kasapi ako sa iglesia ni Chris Tiu.
02. La Salle, because Ateneans make good employees, while Lasallians make good employers.
03. Ateneo, kasi mas magaling sila magluto…ng basketball game!
Hindi no! NaTIUgi lang talaga ang La Salle!
06. As the saying goes: Party with the La Sallites, but marry the Ateneans.
07. La Salle, because Erap was an Atenean.
08. Both are mayabang, pero at least ang Ateneo, may ipagyayabang.

09. During cheering competitions, La Salle’s crowd is better because they don’t shoo away people from other schools in their seating area, the way Ateneo does.
10. La Salle is better because they live happier lives. Di ba ignorance is bliss?
11. Ateneo is better because they know how to spell their name in cheerdance competitions.
12. Ateneo, because they’ve never been suspended from the UAAP, and they still attend the awarding ceremonies even when they lose.
13. Ateneo is better because of Chris Tiu. La Salle is better because of TY Tang. But both came from Xavier. Do the math.
14. La Salle is better kasi they’re better in geography. Ateneo de Manila pero nasa Quezon City
naman sila.
15. Ateneo is better kasi mas malapit sa U.P.
16. Ateneo is better because their celebration was bigger.

17. Someone said that she dated boys from both schools. Pag Atenean, top. Pag La Salle, bottom.
18. Someone said that Ateneo is better because his Dad is a diehard Lasallian, but he sent him to study in Ateneo.

19. DLSU stands for: Di Lumusot Sa Upcat.
20. Both are good; they supply quality education to those who failed to pass in U.P.
21. The only reason Ateneo won was because the referee fell in love with Chris Tiu.
22. Ateneo is better because more grade school Ateneans pass the Pisay entrance exams than grade school Lasallians.
23. Ateneo may have won the championship only twice in the past 8 years, but what makes the difference, is that in both championships, they beat La Salle.

FERRARI ENZO
The Enzo Ferrari is sometimes referred to colloquially as the "Ferrari Enzo". The Enzo Ferrari is commonly referred to as just the "Enzo" with no marque or other words attached.

Celebrating its first World Championship of the new Millennium, in Formula One, Ferrari built the Enzo to celebrate this achievement and the company named the car after its founder, Enzo Ferrari, who died in 1988.
ENGINE
The Enzo is a mid-engined car with a 43.9/56.1 front/rear weight distribution. The engine is Ferrari's F140 65° V12 with 4 valves per cylinder, dual overhead cams and variable valve timing. Bosch Motronic ME7 fuel injection is used and the engine is naturally aspirated. It displaces 5998 cc (366 in³) and produces 485 kW (651 hp/660 PS) at 7800 rpm and 657 N·m (485 [ft·lbf of torque]) at 5500 rpm.[6] The redline is 8200 rpm.
CHASSIS
The Enzo has a semi-automatic transmission (also known as the F1 gearbox) using paddles to control an automated shifting and clutch mechanism, with LED lights on the steering wheel telling the driver when to change gears. The gearbox has a shift time of just 150 milliseconds. The transmission was a first generation "clutchless" design from the late 1990s, and there have been complaints about its abrupt shifting.
PERFORMANCE
The Enzo can accelerate to 60 mph (97 km/h) in 3.14 seconds[10] and can reach 100 mph (160 km/h) in 6.6 seconds.[6] The ¼ mile (~400 m) time is from 10.8 to 11.2 sec at well over 130 mph (210 km/h) and the top speed is around 365 kilometers per hour (227 mph).[citation needed] It is rated at 12 miles per US gallon (20 L/100 km; 14 mpg-imp) in the city and 18 miles per US gallon (13 L/100 km; 22 mpg-imp) on the highway.

FERRARI F50
The Ferrari F50 was a mid-engined range-topping sports car made by Ferrari. The F50 was introduced in 1995 to celebrate the company's 50th anniversary. The car is a two door, two seat convertible with a removable hardtop. It has a 4.7 L naturally-aspirated 60-valve V12 engine that was developed from the 3.5 L V12 used in the 1992 Ferrari F92A Formula One car.
CHASSIS
Type: Central carbon fiber tub, light-alloy suspension and engine-gearbox assembly mounting points co-polymerised to the chassis
Materials: Carbon fiber, epoxy resin, Nomex honeycomb core, sandwich construction
Weight: 2,249 lb (1,020 kg)
Torsional stiffness: 25,500 lb·ft (34,570 N·m) per degree
PERFORMANCE
0-60 mph: 3.7 sec; 0-100 mph: 8.2 sec; 0-1000 m: 21.7 sec; 0-1 mile: 30.3 sec; 60-0 mph: 118 ft (36 m); 1/4 Mile: 12.1 seconds @ 123.0 mph (198 km/h); Top speed: 202 mph (325 km/h); downforce: 970 lb (440 kg) @ 202 mph (325 km/h), 40%/60% (front/rear); Cd: 0.372;
Skidpad: 1.03g; Slalom: 71.8 mph (115.6 km/h); Fuel economy: 8/11 mpg (cty/hwy) (US gallon) (Factory numbers: 8.4/14.1 mpg)

FERRARI F2005

The Ferrari F2005 is a Formula One racing car designed and built by Scuderia Ferrari. It was Ferrari's 2005 Formula One World Championship vehicle. After 6 straight seasons of Ferrari winning the constructors championship, and five straight drivers championships, the F2005 was not a successful car, and Ferrari scored their lowest result in the constructors since 1995. The general consensus was that the main reason for Ferrari's lack of form was down to the Bridgestone tyres the team used, which were poor in comparison to the Michelin tyres that were used by the majority of teams that were competing for glory with Ferrari (Renault, McLaren, Toyota, Williams, BAR, Red Bull Racing and Sauber all had Michelin). The best result achieved all season was a first and second placed finish at the United States Grand Prix, where, due to Michelin claiming that their tyres were unsafe, only six cars competed (Ferrari, Jordan and Minardi all raced on Bridgestone tyres, the tyre they had been using all season). This was to be Ferrari's and Michael Schumacher's only race win of the season.FERRARI 360 SPIDER
The Ferrari 360 is a mid-engine two-seater sports car produced from late 1999 until 2005. The 360 replaced the Ferrari F355 and was itself replaced by the fairly similar Ferrari F430. For the 360, Ferrari partnered with Alcoa to produce an entirely new all-aluminum space-frame chassis that was 40% stiffer than the 355, yet 28% lighter despite a 10% increase in overall dimensions. Along with the new frame was a new Pininfarina body styling that broke ranks with the last decade's sharp angles and flip-up headlights, replacing them with a rounded appearance that harkened to the 1960s. The new V8 engine, common to all versions, was only slightly larger and more powerful than the 355's at 3.6 litres and 300 kW (400 bhp) of power, but the lighter frame and added stiffness improved performance; the 0 to 100 km/h acceleration performance improved from 4.6 to 4.4 seconds, and in the Challenge versions it was as low as 4.0 s. An engine replacement resulted in the current V8 road model, the F430 (internally referred to as the evoluzione or evo) which came out in 2004. FERRARI F430

The Ferrari F430 is a sports car produced by the Italian automaker Ferrari as a successor to the 360. It debuted at the 2004 Paris Motor Show.[1] European left-hand drive sales began in November 2004, but right-hand drive sales did not start until Spring 2005, and the North American market did not get the F430 until Summer 2005.
The F430's all aluminum chassis was produced in partnership with Alcoa and is virtually identical to that of the previous model, the Ferrari 360. In the F430 it has been slightly re-worked and improved with some extra stiffening beams around the floor pan area. The car shares a lot of common parts including the same roof, doors, front windshield and passenger compartment to engine glass. Internally, both cars are referred to with the same model number (F131), though the F430 has the Evoluzione tag attached to show that it features some major changes. Internally, the car is simply known as the "Evo".

FERRARI SUPERAMERICAThe Ferrari 575 M Superamerica was an innovative convertible version of the 575 M Maranello; it featured an electrochromic glass panel roof which rotated 180° (both are production car firsts) at the rear to lay flat over the boot. The Superamerica used the higher-output tune of the V-12 engine, rated at 540 hp (403 kW) and Ferrari marketed it as the world's fastest convertible, with a top speed of 199 mph (320 km/h). The GTC handling package was optional. A total of 559 Superamericas were built; this awkward number followed Enzo Ferrari's philosophy that there should always be one fewer car available than what the market is demanding.

DVD I Watched 07

Slumdog Millionaire

Warning : This post contain spoilers
(Kung hindi nyo pa napapanood better not read and then later hate me)

When was the last time you love at awed & touched by a movie?
Jamal Malik is one question away from winning 20million rupees.
How did he do it?
a. he cheated
b. he’s lucky
c. he’s a genius
d. it is written

The indian actors performed at their best. This movie showed us the slum part of india, but at the same time pinakita din nito na kahit ang isang taong lumaki sa slums at nabuhay sa pagiging con, will turn out to be someone who, when asked a question, answers them "Truthfully". Too truthful sabi nga ng pulis na interogator nya. The movie tells us about Jamal Malik, and his journey in life that lead him to the Indian version ng "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire". Jamal, in the movie, reminded me that the answers to life’s random questions are not always found and learned in the confines of a classroom or within the university walls. Sabi nga ng ilan, at sinasang-ayunan ko, experience is the best teacher, may mga bagay nga na hindi natin natututunan sa loob ng eskwelahan. In the end Jamal would surprise me that all along he joined the show for a different reason most of us would.
One who is not used to watching foreign movies, like me, espeacially a Bollywood/Indian Films would probably be bothered with an all this indian cast. I wasn’t and I liked it. And when the film ended, i can only applaud and remember how this movie touched me and how the actors, especially the kids are very convincing in this film.
Memorable Movie Quotes/Dialogue
Sergeant : professors, doctors, lawyers, genarals never get beyond sixty thousand rupees. he’s at ten million. what the hell can a slumdog possibly know?
Policer Officer : the answers?
Jamal Malik : i knew… the answers.

This film not only won a Golden Globe but also won the 2008 best picture award, best director, best screenplay and best original song among the 8 awards na nakuha nya sa nakaraang Oscar.

How did he do it?
a. he cheated
b. he’s lucky
c. he’s a genius

d. it is written

Nanay at 51

You are my Son, the Beloved, the One I have chosen." Mk. 1:11

Dear Nanay,

Ganun kita kamahal. I gave up my own personal dreams already and decided to go with your will.

Happy Birthday Nanay!

Ang inyong panganay,

Marley & Me
Awww!!! That's all I can say. This movie really made me cry. "A dog doesn't care if you're rich or poor, educated or illiterate, clever or dull. Give him your heart and he will give you his."
-Josh Grogan

I like how the story unfolds with their lovable pet, Marley and the family. Actually the story is pretty simple but it shows the true emotions and reality of people and their pets. Pinanood namin to kagabi ng asawa ko ko, we related to the movie so much kasi we are a dog lovers and we also have our own version of Marley, si Wuwu, hindi man sya Labrador.

So far di pa naman nangyari sa akin yun, mahaba ang patience ko with animals pero that scene really stuck in my head.

Damn it! After nung movie, I saw my wife still crying and I was laughing at her, pero nagmadali syang tumayo at naghahanap ng panyo.

Marley & Me is a hankie movie, so bring lots of tissues. It's the true story of journalist Grogan (Wilson), following his life from his wedding day to fellow journalist Jenny (Aniston). Along the way, they move from Michigan to South Florida, where he gets a job at the Sun-Sentinel and she gets a job at the Palm Beach Post. He dreams of becoming a big-time investigative reporter like his buddy Sebastian (Dane), but he gets assigned a column by his editor, played by Alan Arkin. In order to postpone Jenny's baby fever, he gets her a dog.
Marley & Me is cute and sweet and sappy. It does have echoes of It's a Wonderful Life, in that John Grogan is a man who, for much of the movie, seems incapable of appreciating what he has, always looking at what he doesn't have. Some people will find that annoying. Other will find themselves identifying with him. Marley & Me will make you cry. You can't avoid it. That inevitable moment will come and you'll feel the tears welling up. Fighting them will be futile. Just surrender to it, have a good cry, and go home and hug you dog or cat or bunny, hamster, bird, iguana or fish tank extra tight. It will make you feel better.

Earth Day 2009

How does one make the world a better place to live in? Have you ever thought of that question? As for me, I’ve been asking this question from time to time in my life, especially in moments when I am alone and pondering on my family’s future. How do I help make the world better?

Upon thinking on the things that I can do, I came up with the following criteria. It has to:
•be easy for me to do
•be something that my family can participate in
•have a visible impact in my community
•be viral
•be either cheap or free to do

Based on the above criteria, I came up with the following ideas:
•Clean up our front yard and our neighbor’s front yard
•Give food to the poor people nearby
•Tell people about global warming
•Conserve water and electricity
•Recycle household junk and either re-use them, sell them or give them to friends

These are the top 5 items on my list which I think I can do to make the world better. What about you? What’s in your “How to Make the World Better” list?

We can save the planet starting at this very moment if we really want to and I believe that saving planet Earth is not a steep task for us human beings. A little self-discipline and a little vigilance is probably all we need to get started.

I’m sure you have ideas on what we should do. As for me, I do my own little thing by not polluting my own neighborhood. I also take the extra mile by sharing my ideas to others on how to save the planet. If they too have thoughts in saving Earth then they too share their their ideas to me. This way, our awareness grows even better which in turn encourages us to do the right thing.

What about you? What are your ideas? What’s your share in this global effort to save the planet?

You Change My Life

That’s true… usually. Gulat ako ng biglang may kinuhang dvd si Niña at pinakita sa akin sabay pina-test kung maganda na yung kopya, "You Change My Life" ang sequel ng movie nila Sarah and John Lloyd, I never hesitated to buy it deahil alam kong mganda yung movie, mas maganda pa raw sa part 1.

After we ate our dinner, Niña invited my sister Anne to watch that movie, I never regret watching the “You Change My Life” movie of Sarah and John Lloyd because I can certainly say it is “sulit”. Niña was so absorbed by the movie and still have the smile on her and my face because we really love to watch it again. “You Change My Life” really changed my impressions on Filipino Movies and I really giggled on those cute scenes when the two lovers (Miggy and Layda) try to make sweet moments together and the “Bebe ko” ring tone still keeps on ringing in my ear even till this writing.

So, I am hoping to watch more best tagalog movies in the near future, can't wait to buy the dvd version of "Sundo" and "T2" and hopefully the Philippine movie industry can create and produce more excellent movies this year.
Congratulations to Sarah Geronimo and John Lloyd Cruz for a good movie and also to ABS-CBN Star Cinema for producing such movie.

Bolt

"Bolt!!!"

That would often be the line of Penny (voiced by Miley Cyrus) when she needs the dog's help in dire situations like getting attacked my motorbike-riding villains and helicopters with long-range missiles. Of course, those dire situations would happen not in their "real life," but rather on the television show both Penny and Bolt (voiced by John Travolta) star in. The rub is that Bolt has no idea that they're in a television show.

Bolt is a nice 3D animated film that has humor and action for the whole family. The light-hearted story is essentially a cross-country adventure of Bolt, Mittens the Cat (voiced by Susie Essman) and Rhino the Hamster (voiced by Mark Walton). Each of them have their own distinct characterizations and the movie took advantage of this tight three-creature ensemble to get funny moments in their journey from New York to Hollywood.

I found the funniest moments in the film not from Bolt's Don Quixote-like delusions about his capabilities, but from the movie's potshots at Hollywood and television industry, from the annoying agents, to aspiring to aspiring writers. The mix of heart-warming and funny scenes would appeal to both kids and adults, similar to the way Shrek did. My only nitpick with the film is the predictable story and the incessant switching between the real-life and the television scenes.

Bolt is a great family movie and makes for a good weekend romp with no worries.

Endless Love - A Luther Vandross & Mariah Carey Version

One of the song sa compilation cd na ginawa namin.
Happy 43rd monthsary babba!!!

My love,There's only you in my life
The only thing that's bright
My first love,You're every breath that I take
You're every step I make

And I want to share All my love with you
No one else will do...

And your eyes, your eyes, your eyes
They tell me how much you care
Ooh yes, you will always be
My endless love

Two hearts,Two hearts that beat as one
Our lives have just begun
Forever I'll hold you close in my arms
I can't resist your charms

And love, Oh, love
I'll be a fool for you, I'm sure
You know I don't mind
Oh, you know I don't mind

'Cause you, you mean the world to me
Oh! I know, I know
I've found in you my endless love

Oooh-woow Boom, boom
Boom, boom, boom, boom, booom
Boom, boom, boom, boom, boom

Oooh, and love! Oh, love
I'll be that fool for you,
I'm sure that you know I don't mind
Oh you know- I don't mind

And, yes! You'll be the only one
'Cause no one no one can deny
This love I have inside
And I'll give it all to you
My love, My love, My love
My endless love

DVD I Watched 05

The Dark Knight
One of the most anticipated movies of 2008!Ang tagal kong inantay ang araw na makabili ng dvd nito. When I watch it, everything I've heard about "The Dark Knight" is absolutely, 100% true. This is an outstanding movie from beginning to end. Right from the opening scene where The Joker orchestrates a brutal bank robbery to the ending scenes where we see him gleefully hanging out the window of a police car, the world of movies does not get much better than this.

"The Dark Knight" was directed by Christopher Nolan for his follow-up to 2005's "Batman Begins". This movie is one for the ages. It is that good? According to the net: Most discussions about "The Dark Knight" will begin and end with Heath Ledger. There is only one word I can think of to describe his performance - mesmerizing. You will hang at every word he says. Your eyes will be glued to the screen every time he appears. You will try to dissect and analyze him - but you will fail. This is not a normal portrayal that you will see. In fact, if we did not know it was Heath Ledger playing The Joker, we may not even realize it was him. Ledger became The Joker in this movie and his Joker was out of this world. It is without a doubt the best villain depiction we have seen since Anthony Hopkins became Hannibal Lecter in 1991. Even Nicholson's Joker cannot hold a light to Ledger. At the time, Nicholson's performance was considered groundbreaking, but Ledger puts the 1989 version to shame. This Joker did not dance around the screen to Prince songs and give pretty girls flowers. He is a ruthless killer and a crazy yet brilliant villain. There is not a moment in this movie where he isn't two steps ahead of anyone else, including Batman. It was simply superb but at the same time sad - sad that we will never see a follow up performance from this splendid actor. Sad that the world lost him at such a young age...

Besides Ledger, TDK is blessed with a glorious cast. Whether it be Christain Bale's Bruce Wayne and his powerful, yet disturbed, Batman, Aaron Eckhart's Harvey Dent and his terrifying Two-Face, Gary Oldman's "Ned Flander-ish" Commissioner Gordon or Michael Caine's Alfred Pennyworth, there is not a single actor or actress that does not carry his or her weight in this movie. Make no mistake, however - this is Heath Ledger's movie. I have to say one thing, however, I noticed Anthony Michael Hall's name in the credits. It's rumoured he is going to eventually, somewhere down the road, show up as The Riddler - but I did not notice him at all in the movie. I'm hoping to notice him during my second viewing.

The action in The Dark Knight is thrilling - whether it be Batman's nose dive from the skylines of Hong Kong or the tractor trailer flipping end-over-end on the streets of Gotham. There are many shocking moments, even a few that might make you jump in your seat. It's funny at times and frightening at others. "The Dark Knight" is the complete package.

I'm really not sure what else to say. Whether I speak highly of "The Dark Knight" or not, most of the movie-loving world will be seeing it within the next 2-5 days - at least once. Expect TDK to break records. Then when it comes out on DVD/Blu-ray, expect it to break more. It will all be well-deserved. "The Dark Knight" will end up front and centre of most movie collections in the world soon enough. But for now, enjoy your weekend watching the best movie, so far, of 2008 and one of the best individual performances that you may see in your lifetime.

Twitter

What are you doing?

Hehe!

NUMB3RS S01

Mathematics at Television"We all use math every day; to predict weather, to tell time, to handle money. Math is more than formulas or equations; it’s logic, it’s rationality, it’s using your mind to solve the biggest mysteries we know."

Last Holy Week, nakausap ko ang long lost, long time no see/communication ang cousin kong si Kuya Janssen sa YM.

SEASON 01 (from wikipedia.com)
The first season run of the show aired between January 23, 2005 and May 13, 2005 at 10pm on Fridays. It sees the start of the working relationship between Los Angeles' FBI department and Charlie Eppes. The main FBI agents are Charlie's brother, Don Eppes, and Terry Lake, as well as David Sinclair. Don and Charlie's father, Alan Eppes, provides emotional support for the pair, while Professor Larry Fleinhardt and doctoral student Amita Ramanujan provide mathematical support and insights to Charlie. Season 1 was a half season, producing only 13 episodes. Sabrina Lloyd played Terry Lake, an agent in this season, she was later replaced by Diane Farr, who played Megan Reeves.

Acknowledgement Section

Magandang kwento . . . totoo at tumatalab!

Eto, panoorin mo…

Maxim 34

Mocha is the flavor of Maxim's Gay and Lesbian issueMAXIM Philippines shakes up the men’s magazine’s genre this month with the first ever Gay and Lesbian Issue, with controversial singer Mocha on the cover. Mocha, front woman of the Mocha Girls and a self-confessed bisexual, dominates the cover flanked by one of her back-up singers, Hershey.

Since joining the magazine as a photo blogger in February, Mocha has provided MAXIM with plenty of monthly sizzle with pictures of her making out with a series of attractive females. In the magazine’s most provocative cover shoot ever, Mocha evokes sexual freedom as she is joined by her girl group, which also include Bez and Grace.

Boy Abunda leads the issue’s centerpiece feature, “Gays’ Night Out At Classmate,” in which Boy and four other prominent gay men hold a roundtable discussion of gay issues inside a VIP room of Classmate, the preeminent gentleman’s club—in the company of sexy GROs (guest relations officers) and a stripper. Writer and gay activist Danton Remoto, fashion designer Puey Quiñones, Magic 89.9 deejay Mojo Jojo, and magazine editor Carlo Tadiar join Boy, the host of The Buzz and Showbiz News Ngayon, in this not-so-private conversation about homosexuality in the Philippines.
MAXIM begins the collection of articles on gays and lesbians with a mock cover featuring another controversial celebrity, Binibini Gandanghari, the artist formerly known as Rustom Padilla. MAXIM addresses the country’s most famous transgendered person in an open letter that is humorous, heartfelt and compassionate.

Other eye-popping pictorials feature World Wrestling Entertainment diva Eve, theater and film actress Angeli Bayani and the amazing tandem of MAXIM babes Tracy Torres and Mellow Johnson.

Other major features in the issue are a nostalgia piece on Bagets, the classic youth movie that marks its 25th anniversary this year, and a pre-fight analysis of the much-anticipated Manny Pacquiao-Ricky Hatton fight.

Morning Rush 05

Remember my post regarding future sexy film titles?
May malaking pagkakaiba nga daw ang sexy movie at porn, ang sexy movie is a hypocrite. It’s basically selling the same thing, but doesn’t want the moral baggage.

I’m talking about sexy movies that are just all about sex. Don’t include real movies that just happen to be sexy as well. It’s like a floozy who wants to be accepted into mainstream society. It chooses the gray area; it’s the cinematic equivalent of a fence sitter. Or a tease. This is the kind of post / moks's list post where most of these hindi siguro makakapasa sa mga tenga at pandinig ni MTRCB.

Sexy Lines For Sexy Movies
01. “There are 70 ways to make a man happy: Number 1 is to LOVE him…and the rest is 69.”
02. A girl to her boyfriend who’s always getting himself into trouble: “Para kang bird mo! Kung saan masikip, doon sumusuksok!”
03. “Ang gusto ng misis ko, cat style. Parang doggie style…pero sa bubong.”
04. MISTER: “Alam mo hon, yung titok ni Pare, parang champoy.” MISIS: “Kasing kulubot ng champoy?” MISTER: “Hindi…kasing alat…”
05. “Yang birdie mo parang tsismis…it passes from one mouth to another!”

08. Couple making love. Woman: “ANSELMOOO!” Man: “Hayop! Sinasabi ko na nga ba! Sino si Anselmo?” Woman: “Tanga! Ang cellphone mo, nagva-vibrate!”
09. Dad talking to son about the birds and the bees: “Anak, alam mo ba ang ibig sabihin ng bl*wj*b?”

11. Old maid to young stud: “Mas maasim pa ko sa sinigang ng nanay mo!”
13. Teacher to student who kept on sneaking in and out of the classroom: “Para kang rapist! Labas-masok ka ng walang paalam!”

15. Girl to guy as she put her hand on his crotch: “Akala ko…life lang ang hard…”
16. Scene: Two girl friends talking. Girl1: “Girl, ano pagkakaiba ng ari ng lalaki at kamote?” Girl2: “Yuck, I don’t eat kamote!”
17. Scene: Juan goes to a clinic for a bloodtest.

May Bukas Pa

It is a good Christian tv series. Promotes good Christian values. A teleserye that continues to spread faith, love and hope. The story that captures the heart of every Filipino houshold viewers. The story simply touches the heart of every young child and mothers love it because they noticed some improvement to their little childrens behavior.
PLOT:
The story is about Santino (Ziejan Jaranilla) . When he was just a baby, Santino was abandoned by his mother in a monastery. He was raised by the caring priests Father Anthony (Jaime Fabregas), Father Jose (Dominic Ochoa), and Father Ringo (Lito Pimentel). As a young boy, Santino will find a friend in a mysterious person which he calls “Bro” (shortened for brother) who will help him change the lives of the people in their town. Wikipedia says that May Bukas Pa is a story that is set to open the eyes of viewers that there will always be hope amidst trials and difficulties. Miracles don’t just fall from heaven but comes to those who keep their faith.

In terms of Nationwide ratings released by TNS, "May Bukas Pa" reached a whooping 40.9% surpassing its pilot rating and currently the highest rated Primetime show for 2009. Recently, ABS-CBN Management decided to extend the series for 20 weeks.

But all in all, ang ganda ng show....Sana magkaroon din ng DVD nito. I want to have a collection of this show. I RECOMMEND THIS TO EVERYONE WHO ARE IN SEARCH OF CHRISTIAN VALUES-ORIENTED PROGRAM.

Baby, Santino is characterized with a true Christian values. He change the lives of the people in their town with his miracles powered by God.

He is one of the most influencing tv character of Philippine TV today as he continous to inspire and motivate young ones to pray and seek hope to our Lord.

It is an inspiring one-of-a-kind teleserye that touches one’s heart and soul and gives hope to its Filipino televiewers in these trying times.

CAST (from wikipedia.com)

Zaijan Jaranilla/Santino - A kind-hearted but clever young boy. Longing for the love of his real mother, he finds a friend in the person of "Bro" (Jesus Christ), who helps him change the lives of the people in their town. Known for his healing powers.

Albert Martinez as Enrique Rodrigo - The mayor of Bagong Pag-asa. His lust for wealth and power will drive him to do illegal acts. He never treats Stella as his real daughter; it is revealed later on that Enrique is, in fact, not her biological father.

Dina Bonnevie as Malena Rodrigo - The wife of Enrique. She will do everything to prove her love for her husband. Coming from a wealthy family, Malena envied her sister Selda's intelligence and love with Mario, for she loved him too. This pushed her to commit wrong deeds. Underneath her beauty and glamour is a dark secret that continues to haunt her: she is the only one who knows the Santino's biological mother. It was later revealed in a flashback that she accidentally killed Santino's mother. She is initially mistaken to be Santino's mother.

Precious Lara Quigaman as Selda Sta. Maria - The wife of Mario, the mother of Joy, and the younger sister of Malena. She works as a policewoman. Santino looks up to her as a mother-figure. Along with her sister Malena, she also came from a rich family but she gave up her lifestyle in order to be with her lover, Mario.

Tonton Gutierrez as Mario Sta. Maria - A policeman whose terminally-ill daughter Joy was miraculously healed by Santino. He is Malena's ex-lover and, unbeknownst to him, Stella's biological father.

Rayver Cruz as Cocoy - An orphaned young man who works as an assistant at the monastery. He was previously detained several times for petty crimes. He is currently in a relationship with Stella.

Maja Salvador as Estella "Stella" Rodrigo - The obedient daughter of Enrique and Malena. She treats Santino as her younger brother. It is revealed that her biological father is Mario. She is currently the girlfriend of Cocoy. She later leaves her parents for their differences, and moves in with Selda and Mario's.

Jaime Fabregas as Father Anthony - The chief administrator of the monastery. Underneath his strictness lies his love for Santino.

Lito Pimentel as Father Ringo - He abandoned his hedonistic way of life to become a priest. He devotes his time looking after Santino. His true past was revealed when Enrique was uncovering the dirty secrets of the monastery's priests. Father Ringo was an ex-convict for theft, and his calling to the priesthood came when he served as a sacristan during his time in prison.

Victor Basa as Father John Delgado - Formerly a brother at the monastery. From a well-to-do background (son of a haciendero), he gives up that lifestyle for the life of a monastic. Upon news of his ordination, he has a fight with his father, who disapproved John's decision to become a priest. Santino tries to convince Brother John's father into accepting his son's chosen vocation; he was initially met with harsh opposition. With Santino's intervention, his father has accepted his chosen vocation, with him attending his son's ordination.

Christian Bautista as "Bro"/Jesus Christ - Santino's friend and confidant, and the source of his healing powers. It is to him that Santino runs to for help or consolation. He appears to Santino from the statue in the cemetery. Bisita Iglesia 2009

St. Lawrence Parish Church
Town Proper, Balagtas, Bulacan
San Ildefonso Parish Church
Guiguinto, Bulacan
Sana nakatingin ako sa camera...
Barasoain Church
Malolos, Bulacan
Basilica Minore de Immaculada Concepcion
Malolos, Bulacan
St. James Parish Church
Plaridel, Bulacan
One of the best parish church in Bulacan for me so far!
San Isidro Labrador Parish Church
Pulilan, Bulacan
St. Augustine Parish Church
Town Proper, Baliuag, Bulacan
Holy Rosary Parish Church
Makinabang, Baliuag, Bulacan
Babba, bakit pati yung mama sinama mo sa picture!
St. Peter the Apostle Parish Chuch
Borol 2nd, Balagtas, Bulacan

Letter From God

Please Read this !!! Got this email 2 years ago, share ko lang sa inyo!

Ruth went to her mail box and there was only one letter. She picked it up and looked at it before opening, but then she looked at the envelope again.
There was no stamp, no postmark, only her name and address. She read the letter:

Dear Ruth:
I`m going to be in your neighborhood Saturday afternoon and I'd like to stop by for a visit.
Love Always,

Jesus
Her hands were shaking as she placed the letter on the table.
"Why would the Lord want to visit me? I'm nobody special. I don't have anything to offer."

With that thought, Ruth remembered her empty kitchen cabinets.

"Oh my goodness, I really don't have anything to offer. I'll have to run down to the store and buy something for dinner."

She reached for her purse and counted out its contents. Five dollars and forty cents.
"Well, I can get some bread and cold cuts, at least."

She threw on her coat and hurried out the door. A loaf of French bread, a half-pound of sliced turkey, and a carton of milk..leaving Ruth with grand total twelve cents to last her until Monday.
Nonetheless, she felt good as she headed home, her meager offerings tucked under her arm.
"Hey lady, can you help us, lady?"

Ruth had been so absorbed in her dinner plans, she hadn't even noticed two figures huddled in the alleyway. A man and a woman, both of them dressed in little more than rags,
"Look lady, I ain't got a job, ya know, and my wife and I have been living out here on the street, and, well, now it's getting cold and we're getting kinda hungry and, well, if you could help us. Lady,we'd really appreciate it."

Ruth looked at them both. They were dirty, they smelled bad and frankly, she was certain that they could get some kind of work if they really wanted to.
"Sir, I'd like to help you, but I'm a poor woman myself. All I have is a few cold cuts and some bread, and I'm having an important guest for dinner tonight and I was planning on serving that to Him."

"Yeah, well, okay lady, I understand. Thanks anyway."

The man put his arm around the woman's shoulders, turned and headed back into the alley.
As she watched them leave, Ruth felt a familiar twinge in her heart.

"Sir, wait!" The couple stopped and turned as she ran down the alley after them.

"Look, why don't you take this food. I'll figure out something else to serve my guest."

She handed the man her grocery bag.
"Thank you lady. Thank you very much!"

"Yes, thank you!" It was the man's wife, and Ruth could see now that she was shivering.

"You know, I've got another coat at home. Here, why don't you take this one." Ruth unbuttoned her jacket and slipped it over the woman's shoulders. Then smiling, she turned and walked back to the street...without her coat and with nothing to serve her guest.

"Thank you lady! Thank you very much!"

Ruth was chilled by the time she reached her front door, and worried too.
The Lord was coming to visit and she didn't have anything to offer Him.
She fumbled through her purse for the door key. But as she did, she noticed another envelope in her mailbox.

"That's odd. The mailman doesn't usually come twice in one day."

She took the envelope out of the box and opened it.

Dear Ruth:
It was so good to see you again. Thank you for the lovely meal. And thank you, too, for the beautiful coat.
Love Always,
Jesus

The air was still cold, but even without her coat, Ruth no longer noticed.

Very good things will happen to everyone that touches this story .

Spice of Life

Passion-world Heavy Cross
Whatever your cross, whatever your pain,
there will always be sunshine, after the rain ....

Perhaps you may stumble, perhaps even fall,
But God's always ready, To answer your call ...

He knows every heartache, sees every tear,
A word from His lips, can calm every fear ...

Your sorrows may linger, throughout the night,
But suddenly vanish, in dawn's early light ...

The Savior is waiting, somewhere above,
To give you His grace, and send you His love...

Whatever your cross, whatever your pain,
"God always sends rainbows ....after the rain ... "

To get out of difficulty, one must usually go through it !

How The Apostles Died

DO YOU KNOW HOW THE APOSTLES DIED ?
Matthew Suffered martyrdom in Ethiopia, killed by a swordwound.

Mark Died in Alexandria, Egypt, after being dragged by horses through the streets until he was dead.

Luke- was hanged in Greece as a result of histremendous preaching to the lost.

John Faced martyrdom when he was boiled in hugebasin of boiling oil during a wave of persecution in Rome . However, he wasmiraculously delivered from death. John was then sentenced to the mines on theprison island of Patmos . He wrote his prophetic Book of Revelation on Patmos .The apostle John was later freed and returned to serve as Bishop of Edessa inmodern Turkey . He died as an old man, the only apostle to die peacefully.

Peter was crucified upside down on anx-shaped cross. According to church tradition it was because he told histormentors that he felt unworthy to die in the same way that Jesus Christ had died.

James, Just The leader of the church inJerusalem, was thrown over a hundred feet down from the southeast pinnacle ofthe Temple when he refused to deny his faith in Christ. When they discoveredthat he survived the fall, his enemies beat James to death with a fuller'sclub. * This was the same pinnacle where Satan had taken Jesus during theTemptation.

James the Great , son of Zebedee, was afisherman by trade when Jesus called him to a lifetime of ministry. As a strongleader of the church, James was ultimately beheaded at Jerusalem . The Roman officerwho guarded James watched amazed as James defended his faith at his trial. Later, the officer walked beside James to the place of execution. Overcome byconviction, he declared his new faith to the judge and knelt beside James toaccept beheading as a Christian.

Bartholomew also known as Nathaniel Was a missionary to Asia . He witnessedfor our Lord in present day Turkey . Bartholomew was martyred for his preachingin Armenia where he was flayed to death by a whip.

Andrew was crucified on an x-shaped cross inPatras , Greece . After being whipped severely by seven soldiers they tied hisbody to the cross with cords to prolong his agony. His followers reported that, when he was led toward the cross, Andrew saluted it in these
words: "I have long desired and expected this happy hour. The cross hasbeen consecrated by the body of Christ hanging on it." He continued topreach to his tormentors for two days until he expired.
Thomas Was stabbed with a spear in India duringone of his missionary trips to establish the church in the sub-continent.

Jude, Was killed with arrows when he refused todeny his faith in Christ..

Matthias The apostle chosen to replace thetraitor Judas Iscariot, was stoned and then beheaded.

Barnabas One of the group of seventy disciples, wrote the Epistle of Barnabas. He preached throughout Italy and Cyprus . Barnabaswas stoned to death at Salonica.

Paul Was tortured and then beheaded by the evil Emperor Nero at Rome inA.D. 67. Paul endured a lengthy imprisonment which allowed him to write hismany epistles to the churches he had formed throughout the Roman Empire . Theseletters, which taught many of the foundational doctrines of Christianity, forma large portion of the New Testament.
Perhaps this is a reminder to us that our sufferings here are indeed minor compared to the intense persecution and cold cruelty faced by the apostles disciples during their times for the sake of the Faith. And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake

But he that endureth to the end shall be saved. Matthew 10:22

Scientific Death of Jesus

At the age of 33, Jesus was condemned to death penalty. That was then the "worst" death. Only the worst criminals could die like Jesus. And with Jesus things were worst, because not all the criminals condemned to death could receive nails on their hands and feet. Of course, nails... Big nails! Each was 15 a 20 cm long, with a point of 6 cm. Another point was sharp. The nails were craved into the pulses, and not into the palms, as we are used to hear. In the pulse, there ' s a tendon which extends till the shoulder, and when the nails were being hammered, that tendon broke, obliging Jesus to reinforce all the muscles of his back, so that he could breath as He was loosing all the air from his lungs. In this way, He was forced to support Himself onto the nail craved in his feet, which was bigger than those craved into his pulses, for both feet were craved together. And, as his feet could not endure for long time without tearing, Jesus was forced to alternate that "cycle" so that He could breath.
Jesus endured that reality over 3 hours.
Yes, over 3 hours! Long time, isn ' t it? Few minutes before He died, Jesus was not bleeding anymore.
He was simply pouring water from his cuts and holes. When we imagine Him injured, we only picture Him with injuries, but it is not enough; His wounds were true holes, made in his body. He had no more blood to bleed, He only poured water.
Human body is composed by near 3.5 litres of blood (for adult).
Jesus poured all 3.5 litres of his blood; He had three nails hammered into his members; a crown of thorns on his had and, beyond that, a Roman soldier who nailed a spear into his chest. All these without mentioning the humiliation He passed after carrying his own cross for almost 2 kilometres, while the crowd spat on his face and throwed stones (the cross was almost 30 kg of weight, only for its higher part, where his hands were nailed). Jesus had to pass all this experience, so that you can have free access to God.

So that your sins could be "washed". All of them, with no exception! Don't ignore this situation. HE DIED FOR YOU!. For you, who now read this postl. Do not believe that He only died for others (those who go to the church or for pastors, bishops, etc).
He died for you! It is easy to share green jokes, corny jokes or foolish photos by blogging, but when it comes to God, sometimes you feel ashamed to share to others because you are worried on what they may think about your moral. Accept the reality, the truth that JESUS IS THE ONLY SALVATION FOR THE WORLD. God has plans for you, show all your friends what He experienced to save you. Now think on this! May God bless your life!
. He said (Matthew 10:33): "But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven".

Yes, I love God. He is my source of life and my saviour. He keeps me alive day and night.
Without Him, I am nothing, but with Him "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me". Philippians 4:13.

LYRICS
I used to rule the world
Seas would rise when I gave the word
Now in the morning I sleep alone
Sweep the streets I used to own

I used to roll the dice
Feel the fear in my enemy's eyes
Listen as the crowd would sing
"Now the old king is dead! Long live the king!"

One minute I held the key
Next the walls were closed on me
And I discovered that my castles stand
Upon pillars of salt and pillars of sand

I hear Jerusalem bells a ringing
Roman Cavalry choirs are singing
Be my mirror, my sword and shield
My missionaries in a foreign field

For some reason I can't explain
Once you go there was never
Never an honest word
And that was when I ruled the world

It was the wicked and wild wind
Blew down the doors to let me in
Shattered windows and the sound of drums
People couldn't believe what I'd become

Revolutionaries wait
For my head on a silver plate
Just a puppet on a lonely string
Oh who would ever want to be king?

I hear Jerusalem bells a ringing
Roman Cavalry choirs are singing
Be my mirror, my sword and shield
My missionaries in a foreign field

For some reason I can't explain
I know Saint Peter won't call my name
Never an honest word
But that was when I ruled the world

I hear Jerusalem bells a ringing
Roman Cavalry choirs are singing
Be my mirror, my sword and shield
My missionaries in a foreign field

For some reason I can't explain
I know Saint Peter won't call my name
Never an honest word
But that was when I ruled the world

The Amazing Race 13

There's Phil, waiting on the giant mat. The winning team is approaching.
NICK AND STARR HAVE WON THE AMAZING RACE 13!!!
The teams applaud Nick and Starr. They have won one million dollars. Good for them. They deserve it. And, it looks like my predictions were right on. Ken and Tina show up quickly, and are team number two. Upon finishing, Ken takes out their old wedding rings. He tearily asks if she'll wear it again. They bo
th put their rings on and kiss. Even Phil sheds a tear.
Andrew and Dan reach the finish line some time later. They are team number three and are not disappointed at all. They admit that the first and second place teams were far superior to them.
Since I stucked here at home for almost 30 days now, I was glad I bought this dvd to keep me not being paranoid. The Amazing Race for me is the best reality show on earth, fast pace, nothing boring and all the scenes are the best to watch for. Cant blink an eye just to catch all the happenings in the show. A lots of twist and excitement. Not predictable who's gonna win. I watched this 13th installment for just 2 consecutive days. Hahaha I'm an addict. Let's meet the 11 teams
THE AMAZING RACE 13 will send 11 teams - each comprised of two people who have a pre-existing relationship with one another - on a trek around the world for approximately 30 days. At every destination, each couple will have to compete in a series of challenges - some mental and some physical - and only when the tasks have been completed will they learn their next destination. Couples who are farthest behind will gradually be eliminated as the contest progresses, with the first team to arrive at the final destination winning $1 million. The 11 Teams set to compete in THE AMAZING RACE 13 will travel over 30,000 miles, spanning five continents in 23 days, all starting from the world famous Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, site of the 1932 and 1984 Olympics.

The 13th installment of THE AMAZING RACE will feature a variety of firsts, including: Teams traveling to a real-life water world where its inhabitants live upon a floating city; first time visits for the Race to locations such as Cambodia and Kazakhstan; and one Team makes an unprecedented mistake on the road that ultimately prohibits them from joining their fellow Racers at the finish line.

The cast also features couples in various stages of their lives - married beekeepers who have been together for years, a married but separated couple looking to rebuild their marriage, a newly dating couple still getting to know each other and best friends who are comic book aficionados and describe the Race as "the ultimate game on the biggest game board you can imagine."

Moks™ Award

This is not a Tag! It's a Recognition post!
